*NEW* Summer Program, Universidad de Alcalá, Alcalá de Henares, Spain

The Department of Foreign Languages and the IB Office have reached agreement with the University of Alcalá in Alcalá de Henares to host MSU students for summer study beginning June, 2008.   Alcalá de Henares, the birthplace of Cervantes, is a quick 30-minute train ride to Madrid, yet retains a distinct small-town atmosphere.  The University is one of the oldest in Spain (and Europe), sporting world-class facilities and instructors.  Additional information may be found at: http://www.alcalingua.com/index.php

Students will have the option of studying for either four or eight weeks, with classes starting June 2, 2008 (departure dates from the United States will be set upon booking of tickets).  The first four-week period (June 2-27) will offer 100 contact-hours of Spanish language and culture.   Students electing to stay for the second four-week (July2-29) period will have the option of either taking additional Spanish language and culture classes or signing up for 100-hours of Business Spanish.

An informational session will be held the first week of February for interested students, at which time application packets and pricing details will be furnished.  Sign-up deadline will be March 1, 2008.
