Admissions to the International Business Program are competitive. In addition to being accepted at Mississippi State University, applicants are required to submit a 500-word essay on a topic of international interest and to pass a screening interview prior to admission. Existing foreign language fluency is not required, but overall enthusiasm and willingness to learn a new language are absolute requirements.

International Students must submit an acceptable score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOFEL) . The University minimum is 525 for paper-based tests, or 197 for computer-based tests.
