Shahryar Naqvi - President
Brief Bio: I was born in Bridgetown, Barbados an island in the West Indies. My father worked in the hotel industry and so we moved around often. We lived in Puerto Rico for 8 years and 3 years in Colombia. We also lived in the states of Michigan, Massachussetts, and now Mississippi. I have lived in Starkville for 6 years. This is my third semester in the MBA Program and have an undergraduate degree from MSU in International Business: Management and Spanish. I am married to Sufia Naqvi and we are blessed with a daughter, Fatima Farwa. Ideal Career: I would like to work for a multi-national consulting firm. Hobbies: I love to spend time with my wife and daughter. I also like spending time in nature. I love to travel and tour the country. Favorite Music: N/A. Favorite TV/Movies: I love any type of cartoon movie, Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, etc.! Favorite Placeto Eat Near MSU: My home! Florent Girod - VP Social Affairs
Brief Bio:I am from France. I came to MSU in 2003. I graduated with an International Business degree (emphasis in logistics) in 2007. I played tennis for MSU as an undergraduate. I should graduate in december of 2009. Ideal Career: I would like to use my knowledge of logistics in the entertainment and/or sport industries. The ideal position would be to become a tennis tournament director. Hobbies: tennis, hanging out with friends. Favorite Music: I listen to almost every kind of music. Favorite TV/Movies: The Thomas Crown affair, The diving bell and the butterfly, A good year. Favorite Placeto Eat Near MSU: The Grill, Old Venice. Favorite MBAA Activity: Speakers and end of the year party.

Leann Thornton - Secretary
Brief Bio: I received a bachelor's degree in Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising from Mississippi State University in 2008. I have served in numerous internships ranging from political, to corporate, to fashion industry technology research. I hope to combine both my fashion degree and my MBA in future endeavors. Ideal Career: "Become a buyer for a high-end department store".” Hobbies: Creating jewelry, fashion, reading. Favorite Music:Jack Johnson, Amos Lee, The Weepies. Sara Jurney - VP Public Relations
Brief Bio: Hey Everyone! I was born and raised right down the street in Amory, MS. I started off my college career as a member of the soccer team at Meridian Community College. I transferred to State in 2006 and received my Bachelor's degree in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations. I'm currently working on my MBA with a minor in Sports Administration. I have a graduate assistantship with Athletic Academics which has turned me into a competitive State fan! I love watching all the sporting events and cheering our bulldogs on. GoState!. IdealCareer: Since I have been taking Sports Administrative classes and working with athletes, I would really like to work for a professional team one day. My goal is to get out of Mississippi for a few years to see what careers are out there. Hobbies: When I have time.. I like to run, shop, hang out with friends and family and play soccer. FavoriteMusic: I listen to everything from country to rap. I'm not too picky when it comes to music. Favorite TV/Movies: Currently my favorite TV shows are: Drop Dead Diva, Army Wives, Grey's Anatomy, Project Runaway... It changes from season to season :). Krystal Kennedy - VP of Finance
Brief Bio:Krystal is from Hattiesburg, MS. She attended Jones County Jr. College in Ellisville, MS for two years before coming to MSU. She received her bachelor's degree in Marketing from MSU in December 2008. With the current economic status, she decided it would be best to continue her education. She went back to school at MSU to pursue an MBA. Ideal Career: "I would love to get some experience working for a company's marketing department particularly in the consumer goods industry. After gaining some experience, I would love to pursue a career in teaching. I enjoy the academic environment and would love to be a part of it." .” Hobbies: "Cheerleading, gymnastics, motorcycles, cooking, traveling, and anything adventurous.” Favorite Music:"A little bit of everything but mostly hip-hop, pop, rap, and country." Matthew Lehman- Vice President of Professional Relations
Brief Bio: I grew up in Starkville, MS and attended MSU for my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering in Fall 2006. I worked for Alion Science and Technology, in Pascagoula, MS, for 2 years before returning to MSU in Spring 2009 for my MBA - Project Management. My work in Pascagoula was at the Northrop Grumman shipyards, where I worked on projects to design the composite superstructures of the future Navy destroyer and cruiser models. I am married, since December of 2006, and my wife is finishing her undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering. When we are finished in the fall, we are both eager to find great jobs in the engineering field; however, I would like the chance to play a managerial role in my next job. Ideal Career: “Project Manager for company in the alternate energy field, or, Technical Researcher for political think tank in Washington D.C.” Hobbies: Being married, watching the news, exercising, golf, tennis, skiing Favorite Music:Classic rock, Oldies Favorite TV/Movies:Glenn Beck Show, The Patriot, Pleasantville Favorite Place to Eat Near MSU: "Old Venice and Veranda" Favorite MBAA Activity: "Charity activities such as Habitat for Humanity, United Way, etc."

Ruth Kolawole – Webmaster
Brief Bio:Ruth is from Kwara State, Nigeria. She received her bachelor’s degree in Finance along with a minor in Economics from Louisiana Tech University in 2007. And then, she moved to Boston after working in Pineville, LA for a while. She worked at “The Cooperative Bank” in Charlestown, Boston, MA. After that, and after working at a store, she came to Mississippi State to get her master’s degree in Business Administration. She looks forward to all the exciting ways she can contribute, as well as; all the many things she can learn in the MBAA Association, in Mississippi State, and in the World. Ideal Career:“Working in the corporate world as a Financial Analyst or as an Insurance Actuary seems to be what interests me right now. And, looking to the longer term, I would like to get my PHD and be a professor of Finance.” Hobbies:“Swimming, playing pink-punk(table-tennis), hanging out with friends, and cooking.” Favorite Music:“I like Christian music especially songs by ‘Michael W. Smith.’ I also like ‘Linkin’ Parks’ In The End. And then, I like songs by ‘2Face,’ a Nigerian artist. I guess I don’t really have a favorite music; I just like good, sensible music.” Favorite TV/Movies:“I like Girlfriends, Gilmore Girls, Fresh Prince of Bel’Air, and good movies.” Favorite Place to Eat Near MSU:Barns Hill; Favorite MBAA Activity: Definitely the bi-weekly meetings.
