The College of Business at Mississippi State University has been home to first-rate students, leading researchers and the highest quality of professors for more than 100 years. The College offers a wide variety of graduate programs designed to fit students’ professional and personal needs.
Each of our master’s programs require a bachelor’s degree of any kind and most are available on a full or part-time basis. In our Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, we believe leaders should always be about one thing – growth. Our program focuses on developing the strengths of emerging leaders, helping them to extend their capabilities and create their own paths to prosperity. Our traditional MBA program is a 30-hour program that can be completed in one calendar year. MBA program concentrations in Project Management and Business Analytics are also available.
The College of Business also offers specialized master’s programs in Information Systems (MSIS), Accounting, Economics, and Finance. Specialized master’s programs are designed for those who want to enhance their mastery of a particular business discipline.
Designed to prepare candidates for successful careers in academia, our doctoral programs develop educators with the exceptional research capabilities and instructional training necessary to compete for jobs in a wide range of universities and institutions. Concentrations for the PhD in Business Administration include Finance, Information Systems, Management, and Marketing.
In addition to our on-campus programs, the MBA and MSIS programs are available via online education. These programs are delivered entirely online, and most students take only two years to complete while also working full-time. Our well-established online MBA program is ranked #18 in Best Online MBA Programs 2017 and ranked #10 in Best Online MBA Programs for Veterans 2017 by U.S. News & World Report. Additionally, our online MSIS (non-MBA) program is ranked #43 overall in the latest rankings.
