The Dividends Show is a monthly program dedicated to bringing you all the latest news and information from Mississippi State University's College of Business. Each episode will give you an inside look at the College's programs and events, history, faculty, students and alumni.
In this month's episode, Dividends Show host Jeffrey Rupp speaks with student entrepreneur Terence Williams, creator of the Bully Walk app, which can help new students and visitors find any campus building or landmark and chart their paths around campus. The free app, available for download in Appleās App Store, even tracks MSU's transit system routes. Apple recently recognized Williams' prowess as an app developer, and awarded him with one of 350 scholarships to attend the 2016 Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco!
We also speak with Chip Templeton, the new director of Mississippi State's Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Sponsored by the College of Business, the SBDC provides free services for small business owners and entrepreneurs, offering guidance in areas such as starting up a new business or creating business plans for expansion of an existing business. MSU's SBDC oversees 10 counties surrounding the Golden Triangle area, with eight SBDC office locations in the state of Mississippi.
