The Dividends Show is a monthly program dedicated to bringing you all the latest news and information from Mississippi State University's College of Business. Each episode gives you an inside look at the College's programs and events, history, faculty, students and alumni.
In this month's episode, Dividends Show host Jeffrey Rupp speaks with international business student James Moore. James and business partner Cameron Maddox have been working alongside the E-Center to develop their startup company, Cowbell Carts—a micro transportation service available to MSU's campus and the Starkville community. Cowbell Carts officially began running on August 17, with business hours every Thursday-Sunday from 6 p.m.-2 a.m.
The next guest is Sam Cox, a 14-year-old entrepreneur from Tupelo. Sam was a recent participant in MSU's iCreate program. The iCreate Summer Camp is designed for students ages 14 and older—including incoming MSU freshmen—who are interested in launching their own business, blog, brand or website related to fashion, technology or innovations available to consumers. Projects during iCreate focus on various industries, including retail, entrepreneurship, fashion, technology and engineering, marketing and design/creative arts, among others. Sam and his teammates created a device to make long-distance running more enjoyable.
