BIRMINGHAM, Ala., March 25, 2024 – FedEx Corporation, a global leader in transportation logistics, will serve as the client and campus sponsor for the 11th annual Southeastern Conference MBA Case Competition, hosted by the College of Business at Mississippi State University.
The competition, scheduled for April 4-6, showcases the talent and strategic thinking of MBA students, by providing them with a platform to apply their business insight to real-world challenges.
"We are thrilled to welcome representatives from schools in the SEC to Starkville and to our campus,” said Scott Grawe, dean of MSU’s College of Business. “Our team has put a lot of work into creating a great event and I am looking forward to meeting future business leaders from around the Conference."
The collaboration with FedEx allows participants to present innovative solutions and strategic thinking to a business scenario faced by one of the world's foremost logistics companies.
"We are excited to collaborate with FedEx for this event,” Grawe said. “They are a leader in keeping supply chains moving and offer students from all business backgrounds a chance to put their expertise to work."
FedEx will present the business case to participants on Friday morning. Teams of four students from each participating university will then have 24 hours to prepare their recommended solutions. All participating teams will then present to company executives on Saturday during divisional before the top four are selected and present during the final rounds of competition.
After the concluding round, the winners will be announced along with individual division winners for best presenter and best Q&A.
The SEC MBA Case Competition is in its 11th year and recently expanded to include a fall program. The Conference hosted a virtual kickoff event for the SEC MBA Case Competition, welcoming past participants to talk about their experiences and how competing helped them throughout their careers.
