The Bulldog Business Show - December 2018

The Bulldog Business Show is a monthly program dedicated to bringing you all the latest news and information from Mississippi State University's College of Business. Each episode will give you an inside look at the College's programs and events, history, faculty, students and alumni.

In this month's episode, host Jeffrey Rupp speaks with Director of Boots to Business, Deborah Scott. Boots to Business was a grant that was awarded to MSU last year by the Small Business Administration. Boots to Business provides assistance to military veterans and their families interested in entrepreneurship. It offers a six-week virtual learning course taught by a team of veterans and business owners to help veterans get started on their business plan. We also speak with student entrepreneur Jordan Henderson. Henderson is the creator of Brace Buddy, a portable and collapsible kickstand device for knee surgery patients to take with them anywhere to keep their injured leg elevated conveniently. Henderson decided to develop Brace Buddy after tearing both of her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in high school. In this episode, Henderson explains how she chose to attend MSU to further pursue the development of Brace Buddy in MSU's Center for Entrepreneurship & Outreach.
