The BUlldog Business Show is a monthly program dedicated to bringing you all the latest news and information from Mississippi State University's College of Business. Each episode will give you an inside look at the College's programs and events, history, faculty, students and alumni.
In this episode, host Jeffrey Rupp speaks with Michael Lane, a senior mechanical engineering student and manager of The Makerspace on campus. The Makerspace, often referred to as The Factory, provides students with resources to make their ideas a reality. The Makerspace will have a new location opening in Downtown Starkville this fall to provide easier access for community involvement. A monthly membership will provide innovators the access to equipment, work space, and guidance from The Makerspace staff.
We also speak with Eric Hill, Director of MSU's Center for Entrepreneurship & Outreach (CEO). When an innovator has an idea, the Center guides through a four-step process to help turn their dream into a reality. Students receive advice from their peers in the Center as well as the staff.
