The Bulldog Business Show is a monthly program dedicated to bringing you all the latest news and information from MSU's College of Business. Each episode gives you an inside look at the College's programs and events, history, faculty, students and alumni.
In this episode, Landon Casey gives host Jeffrey Rupp a virtual tour of the Idea Shop in downtown Starkville. The Idea Shop is partnered with the College of Business and School of Human Sciences at Mississippi State. This shop provides the opportunity for any individual to take their ideas and turn them into a reality. Casey explains how they have adapted to COVID-19 restrictions while still being able to provide a service to the people of Starkville. The Idea Shop wants to cultivate an environment that brings together the Starkville community through their space, workshops, and events.
Casey walks Rupp through the entire space and shares how customers can come in and utilize those areas. They have an area for children to play while their parents work in the back on a project, a retail space to sell one of a kind products, and the workspaces in the back. The workspaces are also broken up into three different areas: a hang out space, the Wood Shop room, and the Design Suites.
Anyone can come into the shop and purchase products or create something, but there is also a membership option. This program has three different levels: basic, pro, and all-access. This monthly subscription gives customers the ability to come in and work during all office hours. Learn more about the MSU Idea Shop.
