The Bulldog Business Show - September 2023


 

The Bulldog Business Show is a monthly program dedicated to bringing you all the latest news and information from MSU's College of Business. Each episode gives you an inside look at the College's programs and events, history, faculty, students, and alumni.

In the latest episode, host Jeffrey Rupp speaks with Eric Hill, the director of the MSU Center for Entrepreneurship & Outreach, who provides updates on the significant growth and expansion of the E-Center, which is doubling in size and nearing completion in McCool Hall. The new addition will allow for added workspace and support for student startups and faculty members teaching entrepreneurship-related classes. The E-Center is open to all students, faculty, and staff on campus.

Hill also shares some highlights about the establishment of the Sen. Thad Cochran Mississippi Center for Information and Technology, a 2,000 sq. ft. office in Vicksburg, Mississippi, commonly known as mCITy. the office is part of a state-funded Mississippi Research Consortium effort to enhance technology transfer efforts and research collaborations with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) and other federal partners.

Rupp also speaks with Terrence Green, former alumnus of the E-Center and current manager of the new Cowork @ the Hub, who shares more information about the the collaborative co-working environment for entrepreneurs and remote remote workers in the heart of downtown Starkville. Offering daily, weekly, and monthly passes with 24/7 access, the Cowork includes private offices, dedicated desks, and open seating for entrepreneurs.
