Mississippi State University and the the Mississippi Small Business Development Center have been provided with resources from the CARES Act to provide education, training and business advising to small businesses that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of mandated changes in business operations, many family businesses have had to shift their operations.
Responding to COVID-19 is an outreach of the College of Business’ Family Business Education Initiative (FBEI), established in 2018 with a mission to help small businesses become sustainable and grow. Faculty and staff in MSU’s College of Business developed the nine-part video series with the SBA and the Mississippi Small Business Development Center. Covering a wide variety of COVID-19 topics, they address the survival, growth and sustainability, and family businesses and their special needs.
